Brief AI Commentary
The Aria establishes the bass and harmonic pattern from which the Goldberg Variations will grow. Its ornamented melody seems simple and private, yet it contains the foundation for an immense journey of invention.
Yunchan Lim gives the line patience and luminous quiet at Carnegie Hall. Presented on its own, the Aria can serve either as an invitation to the complete variations or as a brief, self-contained moment of contemplation.
