How Fair This Spot, Op. 21, No. 7

Brief AI Commentary

Rachmaninoff’s song is an expression of gratitude before the beauty of nature and the presence of a beloved. Arcadi Volodos’s transcription preserves its vocal tenderness while giving the piano a softly luminous surrounding texture.

Tsujii sings the melody with simplicity and finely judged space. The performance’s brevity does not diminish it; the piece arrives like a private blessing and departs before its stillness is disturbed.
